Plaqtiv+® Water Additive is a daily dental care product for dogs and cats, supplied in a 500ml bottle. This page sets out how it works and how to use it, so you can compare it with other dog dental care products.

How it works

The formula uses patented XPERSIV technology, which binds the minerals that cause tartar formation. This is intended to help prevent biofilm maturation and calculus build-up, and to soften existing calculus so it is easier to remove. Used each day it can also help make chews, toothpastes and wipes more effective.

Formula

The additive is unflavoured, which makes it a low-stress option for pets who dislike teeth brushing and for sensitive pets, and it is not expected to alter drinking habits.

Ingredients: water, sodium citrate, citric acid, disodium EDTA, sodium benzoate, zinc chloride.

Usage instructions

Shake well before use. Each time you fill your pet's water bowl, add 2 measuring caps for every 600ml of water. One measuring cap holds 10ml.
