Lillebro Husked Wild Bird Food is not only loved by birds, it's also very user‑friendly. The food doesn’t leave any mess, making it ideal for balcony and patio feeding. The delicious blend of husked seeds is suitable for year‑round feeding of wild birds. Especially in towns and cities, the natural food supply of many wild bird species is becoming increasingly scarce. That’s why we recommend putting out a balanced mixture of seeds and grains all year round.

Lillebro Wild Bird Food is of course tested for ambrosia/ragweed.

The feeding spot should be protected from wind, rain and snow and cleaned regularly.

Lillebro Husk‑Free Wild Bird Food is available in 4 kg, 3 × 4 kg and 20 kg (5 × 4 kg) bags.
Ingredients:
  • 20% sunflower seeds, husked
  • 19% millet, yellow
  • 16% corn
  • 15% oats, husked
  • 10% wheat
  • 10% sorghum, red
  • 5% rapeseed
  • 5% peanuts, husked

Feeding recommendations:
As well providing wild birds with food, you also should aim to provide water and shelter. Make the birds feel welcome and safe and you will enjoy their presence for a long time to come.

Expensive and poor quality

I’ve fed birds for over 40 years. I’ve tried all sorts, thought I’d try this It was expensive, but I expected it to be high quality.
I feed approx 32kg of seed/sunflower mix per month in winter.
This is the most expensive sack I’ve ever bought, IMO it’s also the poorest quality seed mix I’ve encountered. . Massive percentage unsuitable for garden birds, resulting in about 20% lying, uneaten, below the feeders. Even the doves and crows don’t eat it.

Always appreciated

The birds in our garden love this stuff. We put it in feeders hanging on a tree so they’re over a border. Touch wood, nothing had ever grown under the feeders. We never have any seed leftover, the birds seem to love it & usually empty the feeders over a couple of days to a week.

Good quality mixture

Lots for the little birds - we have a broad spectrum of them visiting the seed-feeder all the time. And the seeds they spit onto the ground go down well with a lot of different ground-feeders, large and small. We don't experience any waste at all.

Inappropriate presentation

Bags usually arrive in small 4kg bags (as shown on the site) but arrived in a large 20kg sack with the description of , not ‘Husk Free’ but the term ‘husked’ was used. This caused confusion. Previously I had been wrongly sent bird seed in the same 20kg sack that was not husk free! When questioned I was told the order was correct without an explanation that the packaging had been changed! They need to change the graphic!

Good but too much millet which goes like mad

I buy this in the economy option for my wild birds and my chooks, all goes eventually but there is too much millet (all the very small seeds) and they do grow quickly in spring/summer. I would like to see more sunflower and maize (corn) and less millet and oats. Very few peanuts in this also. But, it is good value bought in x 3 option.
