Feline k/d Kidney Care - Chicken is a veterinary dry diet from Hill's. The manufacturer developed it for grown cats living with chronic or acute kidney insufficiency.

Why vets use it

Phosphorus is lowered and the protein level is reduced but kept high in quality. Hill's states it may also suit cats with heart insufficiency, or with urate or cystine urolithiasis. A tailored prebiotic blend called ActiveBiome Kidney Defense is included, along with appetite-triggering E.A.T. technology. A vet should always be consulted first.

Ingredient list

Grains; vegetable protein extracts; oils and fats (1.6% fish oil); meat and animal by-products (5% chicken); eggs; vegetable by-products; minerals; maize gluten meal; chicken and turkey meal; pea protein; dried whole egg; rice protein concentrate; betaine, oat bran and fructo-oligosaccharides (1.1%).
