Hill's Prescription Diet Feline c/d Multicare Urinary Care - Chicken promotes a healthy urinary tract and reduces the risk of recurrence of urinary stones. FLUTD (Feline Lower Urinary Tract Disease) is a complex disease of the lower urinary tract. Crystals frequently form in the urinary tract and can be very painful.
The two most frequent types of crystal which develop in cats are struvite and calcium phosphate. Struvite crystals and stones tend to develop from a combination of magnesium, ammonium and phosphorus saturated urine and urine with an alkaline environment. With this dry food, you can help prevent these stones from forming as well as working to dissolve existing ones. This is achieved through urine‑acidifying substances and tailored amounts of minerals.

Chicken (22%), pork, pea protein, wheat meal, maize starch, salmon, various sugars, protein hydrolysate, cellulose, dried whole egg, minerals, dried pork protein, fish oil, sunflower oil, vitamins, trace elements, taurine, beta-carotene.
Urine alkalising ingredients: potassium citrate (0.5g/kg).

Feeding recommendation in pouches per animal per day
The following amounts are only guidelines since each animal will have individual needs. The amount should be adapted to make sure your pet maintains its ideal weight.

Please make sure that your cat always has plenty of fresh drinking water.
Over a period of 7 days and in agreement with your vet, you should mix an increasing amount of the new cat food with a decreasing amount of the old cat food.
Your cat will not need any other food. Feeding your cat additional food can reduce the positive effects of Hill's Cat Food.
