Quick answer: Cosma Jelly Snacks are grain-free cat treats, 14g per sachet, made from 26% real chicken, tuna or salmon set in a light jelly. Each pack contains eight single-serve sachets. They work equally well as a between-meals treat or squeezed over dry food as a topper. Available in single flavours and two mixed packs with UK delivery.

Cosma Jelly Snacks, 8 x 14g

Single-serve portions of real meat in jelly. No cereal. Nothing dried out in a resealed bag.

Most cat treats are baked cereal with flavouring sprayed on. Cosma Jelly Snacks are different: each 14g sachet contains 26% real chicken breast, tuna or salmon suspended in a light jelly. Portioned individually, so every sachet is fresh when you open it.

Key Benefits

  • 26% real meat or fish: Chicken breast, tuna or salmon, not meat derivatives or flavouring. The rest is broth and a small amount of tapioca starch to set the jelly.
  • Grain-free recipe: Tapioca starch only. No wheat, corn or rice, making these suitable for cats on a cereal-free diet or with known grain sensitivities.
  • Perfectly portioned sachets: One 14g sachet per serving. No half-open pouch going stale in the fridge, and no guessing on portion size.
  • Works as a meal topper: Squeeze over dry kibble to tempt a fussy eater or to make a main meal more appealing to a cat that has lost interest in food.
  • Choice of varieties: Single flavours in chicken, tuna and salmon. Mix 1 combines all three. Mix 2 pairs chicken with liver, tuna with shrimps, and tuna with chicken.

Nutrition & Quality

Jelly-based treats carry a practical advantage over dry biscuit treats: they contribute moisture. Cats evolved to take most of their fluid from prey and often under-drink when fed only kibble, which is one reason urinary problems are common in cats on dry-food-only diets. A jelly treat is a small but consistent way to add fluid intake in a form cats readily accept. Keep treats to around ten percent of daily calories and reduce the main meal accordingly, since Cosma Jelly Snacks are a supplementary food rather than a complete diet.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are these a complete food?
No. Cosma Jelly Snacks are a supplementary treat. Your cat still needs a nutritionally complete wet or dry food as its main diet. Treats should not exceed around ten percent of daily calorie intake.

Can kittens have them?
These are formulated for adult cats. Kittens have different nutritional needs, particularly for calcium and phosphorus, and are better served by a kitten-specific treat or food topper.

My cat has stopped eating. Will these help?
Often a strongly scented, high-protein jelly topper restarts interest when a cat goes off its main meal. If a cat refuses food for more than 24 hours, though, a vet check is the right call. Cats deteriorate quickly when they stop eating.

Waste of money

Didn’t liked it . Had to put in the bin. Texture is not even liquid. Waste of money.

Not my favourite

I got a mixed pack for my cat to try. She ate some of the salmon snacks, but ignored other flavours. Overall not her favourite treat.

Excellent for hydration

I've managed to replace lick e lix - they're so addictive and the lactose isn't good. Simba now loves all these flavours. As he doesn't drink water, only cat soup, it's a great way to increase moisture in his diet. I squeeze little bits on to a plate and he asks for them! Highly recommended.

Treat wasn’t a treat !

It may be a variable thing amongst cats rather than the product quality, but I was disappointed that our cat did not have more than a lick and ignored this new treat for him. Surprised as he loves salmon Licki Lix.

Loved!

My cat goes wild for these. He impatiently waits on my lap until I put some on my hand for him to lick it off. It is superb for bonding time and with so many freeze dried treats on the market, a great way to keep him hydrated too. It does not matter which flavour, he gobbles them all up as soon as I let him!
