Preparation and feeding

Energy per 100g: 1969 kJ / 471 kcal (ME, FEDIAF 2020). Wash and sterilise the bottle, leak protector and teat in boiling water before each use. Boil water and let it cool to lukewarm (30-40°C), measure it into the bottle, then add the milk powder; use the bottle scale for larger quantities. Serve lukewarm and prepare fresh for every meal. Amounts are guidelines only: weigh your kitten regularly, adjust accordingly and ask your vet if unsure. Fresh drinking water should always be available. Reseal the pouch and store it somewhere cool and dry.

Feeding recommendation
These recommendations are only guidelines and should be adjusted according to your kitten's individual needs. Weigh your pet regularly and adjust the amount of food accordingly. Consult with your vet if necessary. Feed the milk lukewarm and prepare fresh for each meal. Close the pouch firmly after use. Store the pouches in a cool, dry place. Always make sure your cat has fresh drinking water.

How to prepare and feed Concept for Life Milk for Newborns
  • Wash the drinking bottle, leak protector and teat, then sterilise in boiling water before each use,
  • Boil the water, then let it cool (30–40°C, lukewarm)
  • Use the measuring spoon to pour water into the bottle, then add the milk powder (use scale on bottle for larger quantities)
  • Seal the bottle with the leak protector and shake until the powder has completely dissolved
  • Remove the leak protector
  • Test the temperature of the milk on the inside of your wrist. It should only feel lukewarm
  • Up to the age of 4 weeks, it is important to massage your kitten's belly with a moist, warm cloth after each feed. A mother cat often licks her kittens' bellies for hours to stimulate digestion and excretion of urine and faeces

  • When sterilising make sure there is enough water in the pot so that the bottle and teats are not damaged
