PURINA PRO PLAN JM Joint Mobility offers a nutritional treatment for dogs that suffer from joint problems including arthritis. Aging, excess weight and congenital defects can have an impact on the health and mobility of your dog. Arthritis is the most common cause of chronic pain in adult and senior dogs.
Studies have shown that eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) helps to reduce the enzymes which damage cartilage. Omega-3 (including EPA) and Omega-6 fatty acids can contribute to reducing inflammation in joints. Furthermore, glucosamine and chondroitin help to preserve the joint cartilage. This dietetic kibble also contains high levels of antioxidants, vitamin E and C which help to reduce oxidative stress. This food can be used to support weight loss in overweight dogs with joint problems.
