PRODUCT DETAILS

This bright yellow biothane long lead from Heim combines the benefits of leather and plastic. The lead has the look and softness of leather, and the durability and tear resistance of polyester with a polyurethane coating. Biothane® is a US‑patented material.

Biothane® is strong, durable and pliable, as well as being completely waterproof, making it ideal for outdoor use. The smooth surface means that this lead will be extremely unlikely to get caught in shrubs and undergrowth. The hand loop allows you to have firm control of your dog at all times. The smooth structure of biothane prevents it from taking in moisture or bacteria and any mud and dirt can simply be brushed off. All fittings are surface‑coated for longer durability and functionality, protecting against rust.

Great lead

I've been using this daily for about a year with my 25kg German Shepherd/Husky. It's strong, highly visible and is easy to clean and dry. Brilliant product much better than my old nylon one and I haven't had a single friction burn !

Light and easy to handle

Had my new 14 mth old Malinois out on the 10m today was very impressed with it , much nicer to handle than my other longline ( rubber grip one) , much much lighter and it stayed cleaner , although I did find it actually snagged the ground more than my previous one but not badly , prefer this one for feel and weight .

Brilliant for playing in river / lakes

Used the 10m version in the Lake District with our 7 month old Labrador. It was brilliant for use when he wanted to swim in the lakes and rivers because we could give him freedom to swim but still keep hold of him. Doesn’t absorb water like other leads so lighter to use and carry when wet. A very long line but takes up little space when coiled up. Wipes clean and doesn’t pick up grass / thistles / debris. Doesn’t get knotted like fabric leads. Strong and flexible. Worth the money.
