Many cats suffer from Feline Lower Urinary Tract Disease (FLUID), including bladder infections, cystitis and bladder stones. These issues often arise when your cat does not drink enough water, causing the urine to become too concentrated. When this happens, excess minerals can form small crystals; larger formations are called stones. The most common are struvite stones, made from a magnesium‑ammonium‑phosphate compound that forms when the urine pH is too alkaline.

Its acidifying properties help dissolve existing struvite stones by lowering the urine pH. High liquid content increases fluid intake, flushing out the urinary tract and diluting the urine so excess minerals and germs cannot accumulate.
