PRODUCT DETAILS

For cats with chronic kidney insufficiency, a balanced diet is very important. **Kattovit Kidney/Renal** has been specially developed to support kidney function and provides your cat with all the important nutrients. The dietary wet food is characterised by a reduced protein content, which is important to protect the kidneys. The phosphorus content is also low.

Thanks to its delicious recipe, **Kattovit Kidney/Renal** is also well received by many fussy pups. The high moisture content of the diet wet food can contribute to a sufficient water intake. Added potassium citrate can also promote less acidic urine, which helps reduce oxalate stone formation.

BAD - Too much FAT for any organs

This should be BANNED – for kidney issues you need less FAT and Carbohydrates possible!
My cat was sick straight after, So I started to look at the food content – see my pictures!
Had to bin all 6 tins.
So, I have done the proper calculations that the companies do not put on tin but give you only Analytical constituents breakdown
This has DRY matter FAT 40.4% !! (recommended (10-20%)
carbohydrates 17.4% (recommended (up to20%)
Unbelivable that this is marked as selling point for kidneys, Please,

BAD for renal

To much FAT , you can see fat in the food, Dry mass FAT is above 40% if u calculate it - where 10-20% is a max for renal/ kidney. Such dissapointed with it as harmful for the health of kidneys or pancreas or any organs.

My cat loves this but....

One of my cats has CKD and this is the only wet renal food they will eat but I have noticed that there are far more white lumps within the meat than there used to be. Presumably it is lumps of fat. Fat isn't good for cats with CKD so I have to spend time taking this out before he gets the food and naturally some of the food is also thrown away at the same time so a tin doesn't last as long as it did.
