General information:
  • Please seek your vet's advice before using this food or extending the feeding period.
  • When feeding your dog with a veterinary diet you should consult your vet regularly for check‑ups.
  • If your dog's health deteriorates please seek veterinary advice immediately.
URINARY S/O is a complete dietetic feed for dogs formulated to dissolve struvite stones and reduce their recurrence through its urine acidifying properties, a low level of magnesium and a restricted level of protein, but of high quality.

Note: Please ensure your dog has correct kidney function before you give your dog Royal Canin Veterinary - Urinary S/O LP 18.


Indications:

  • Dissolution of struvite crystals and stones
  • Bacterial cystitis
  • Prophylaxis of calcium oxalate stones
  • Prophylaxis of struvite stones
Contraindications:
  • Chronic renal failure, metabolic acidosis
  • Heart failure
  • Hyperlipidemie
  • Pancreatitis
  • Parallel use of urine acidifying medication
  • Pregnant or lactating bitches

  • Struvite dissolution: URINARY S/O helps to dissolve all types of struvite stones.
  • Increased volume of urine: Diluting the urine makes it less liable to form struvite and calcium oxalate stones.
  • Low RSS: Helps to lower the concentration of ions contributing to crystal formation.
  • Low magnesium: Reduced level of magnesium, a natural component of struvite crystals.
Changing your pet's diet and length of treatment:

Your pet will need to stay on this diet for 5 to 12 weeks, or until the stones are dissolved. If your pet is suffering from a bladder infection it should stay on this diet for at least a month after diagnosis.

Please ensure that during its illness your pet is fed only with URINARY S/O, otherwise the effectiveness of this product may be reduced.

Therapeutic veterinary diets are carefully formulated and recommended to be used in conjunction with veterinary advice and support. Royal Canin strongly recommend you seek advice from your Vet prior to and during feeding of any of these products to your pet.
Ingredients:
Corn flour, rice, animal fat, dried poultry protein, corn gluten, minerals, hydrolyzed animal proteins, vegetable fibers, soybean oil, fish oil, fructo-oligosaccharides, mono- and diglycerides of palmitic and stearic acids esterified with citric acid, marigold flour.

Additives per kg:
Vitamin A (16,000 IU), Vitamin D3 (1,000 IU), Iron (44mg), Iodine (4.4mg), Copper (14mg), Manganese (57mg ), zinc (147mg), selenium (0.06mg).
Preservatives: antioxidants.
