This was immediately plucked by my dog and fluff came out. The backing is only single not double like normal vetbed which is why I've given it 4 instead of 5 *. It has non slip backing too as compared to regular gold.
it's also charcoal not grey so the colour in the picture is right.
Having said that it lovely soft and fluffy and keeping me warm as an extra layer of bedding on my bed

Excellent quality ‘vet bed’. My dog suffers from dust mite allergy so I lay this over a waterproof bed. It means I can wash it quickly and easily on a regular basis. No fighting to stuff beds into zip in covers. The vet bed also dries quickly.
We also have one in the car boot for her - on top of the waterproof boot liner. Previously she slipped around the boot on the plastic.
The vet bed stays put on her bed and in the car with the excellent non-slip back that it has.

I have bought many different beds for my dog but he just won't use them, he prefers the hard floor but this is causing bald patches on his elbows, so I took the plunge with the vet bed as a compromise and he loves it! Just wish a bigger size was available!

We have a 5 cat happy household, all rescue cats and over the years have used a variety of blankets etc but nothing compares to this vetbed gold which is really in a league of its own. This vetbed is easy to clean and removing pet hair is simple and if you brush whilst still damp it keeps the pile looking great for years to come. I also love this vetbed because it's so safe and great for pets with allergies. Vetbed gold can be cut to any length or shape and can be used absolutely anywhere
