Once you try Silica you wont go back.

Moved to silica when our first cat was 1yo, never looked back. Lasts ages (less so with male cats who wee lots but still longer than clay/wood counterparts) has little to no smell (dries then poops right out) and it a dream when it is time to change out. The only tiny downside is you have to stir it daily so the wee is absorbed by all the crystals and doesn't pool and its a small price to pay for your abode to not smell like cat litter. Ive also tried multiple brands and Tigerino is our fave.

My cat did not like this litter

This is my first time using silicate litter and my cat was not impressed - I've switched back to the clumping kind as my kittie was using his box noticeably less when I switched to silicate.

In terms of the litter itself, I found it to drag a lot and kept finding much more of it around the house compared to the clumping kind. I also don't really see much of a benefit in terms of cleaning with the silicate; it just seems to get dirtier much quicker.

Quality changed - Explanation?

Have been beginning to think this litter isn't lasting as long. Then I saw a review by someone on here saying that if you buy the individual bags they perform like the original, but if you buy the value packs of 6 they are finer, not as many blue crystals and don't last as long. Surprise surprise they were right. I ordered the former and the latter and did an experiment. the individual bag looked as it used to and it did last at least a week in a good state rather than 3 to 4 days.

my cat loves this she’s been quite picky with her litter she only liked clay which is so dusty and she hated the wood pellets wouldn’t use her tray so even tho this is a bit pricey it lasts a lot longer, these bags will last a good 2 - 3 months

Changed for the worse

It used to be the best litter available out there, I've tried so many! In the past few months, it changed completely, now the granules are bigger and go yellow, lasting only a couple of days, and don't cover the smell at all! On top of that, it became so much more expensive. Unfortunately, it's really not worth it anymore
