Concept for Life Veterinary Diet Urinary is a premium complete dry food designed specifically for adult cats dealing with urinary disease. Many cats suffer from FLUTD (Feline Lower Urinary Tract Disease), including bladder infections, cystitis and bladder stones. These issues often arise when your cat does not drink enough and the urine becomes too concentrated. When this happens, excess minerals can form small crystals; larger mineral formations are called stones. The most common are struvite stones, which are made up of a magnesium‑ammonium‑phosphate compound and occur when the urine pH is too alkaline.

This premium therapeutic food has been specifically developed for cats with bladder stones and urinary tract disease and is optimally adapted to suit their specific nutritional needs. The food’s acidifying properties help dissolve existing struvite stones. These stones are made up mainly of magnesium and phosphorus, so Concept for Life Veterinary Diet Urinary contains a customized magnesium and phosphorus content to reduce urine pH while still providing the appropriate amount needed to cover your pet’s daily nutritional requirements. The omega‑3 fatty acids in salmon oil support shiny fur and supple skin.

Not suitable for pregnant or lactating cats, kittens, cats with hepatic insufficiency associated with impaired bile secretion.

Treat for sure

I could trick the cats into thinking these are yummy sweetie treaties. They really like them, so I get a wee bag and treat the guys. Smells good, full of flavour and kinda moist so it must taste good. No complaints and they cats eat them up.

Great dry food.

Having had one very ill cat with bladder crystals I was advised to put her on a vet prescribed food. I tried her on several and Concept urinary has been by far the best. After several years on it ,she is happy, glossy and no further bladder problems. (The fact that it is a diet version is also great as she is also very greedy.) It's a shame that it only comes in chicken but both my cats are content with it and eat it enthusiasticly. Great value!
